LED LIGHT THERAPY TREATMENTS
LED Light therapy is effective for hair loss, skin rejuvenation, acne and problem skin, sensitive and inflammatory conditions such as rosacea, eczema and psoriasis and post treatment healing. It is a natural photobiochemical reaction similar to the process of plant photosynthesis. The energy delivered by the Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) enhances cellular metabolism, accelerates the repair and replenishment of damaged skin cells. The treatment is non-ablative, non-invasive, painless and has absolutely no downtime. It is safe for all skin type and all ages. LED Light Therapy can help support and maintain results from other services.
LIGHT THERAPY FOR ANTI-AGING
Red light therapy is a therapeutic technique that uses infrared low-level wavelengths of light for treating the epidermis, which is the outer layer of skin.
Red light therapy boosts the production of collagen and fibroblasts. These two superheroes are what makes you achieve the youthful appearance over time. Collagen (together with elastin) gives your skin the elasticity, firmness, and fullness that somehow disappears when people age. The increased collagen and fibroblasts help reduce pore size, smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, and help improve and smooth out the texture of the skin.
LIGHT THERAPY FOR ACNE
Blue light LEDs have been shown to be effective in the treatment of acne by destroying P. Acnes, the bacteria that causes acne. The light penetrates down to the sebaceous (oil) glands in the skin and kills bacteria from the inside out.
Red Light Therapy is proven to stimulate cellular mechanisms responsible for tissue repair and regeneration. Red light easily penetrates the skin to reduce inflammation, boost circulation and bring more blood and nutrients to the area. The combination of red and blue light treatments can produce very significant reductions in mild to moderate acne.
LIGHT THERAPY HAIR GROWTH
Nearly fifty years ago, doctors discovered that a highly specific wavelength of red light (approximately 655 nanometers) not only helped reduce inflammation, but also helped accelerate the regeneration of damaged tissue. Further research found that this same wavelength of light, when applied directly to the scalp, could increase the energy production around the unhealthy follicle cells, stimulating them from dormancy into an active growth phase while increasing the production of thicker and healthier hair.
Combining PRP hair restoration treatments with light therapy treatments improves the outcome of hair growth stimulation. Because red light therapy works by stimulating hair follicles that have recently started producing thinner and finer hair, hair follicles that have completely stopped producing hair for more than five years usually do not benefit from this treatment.
RECOMMENDED NUMBER OF TREATMENTS
For best results, we recommend doing 4 treatments, done once per week.
The treatment itself lasts 30 minutes, during which time your face or scalp will be situated under a panel of warm, bright lights. Protective eyewear is available for those with light, sensitive eyes.
There is no downtime or risk of unwanted side effects.
Women who are or could be pregnant should seek approval from their physician before undergoing a new treatment of any kind. Patients being treated with Accutane should discontinue its use for 6 months prior to an LED treatment. Those with an extreme sensitivity to light or who suffer from migraines brought on by bright light should exercise caution.
LED Light Therapy treatments are available at Northwest Aesthetics Bellevue and Kent, WA locations.
