Radiesse a calcium-based dermal filler which helps to stimulate your body to produce new collagen for a more youthful appearance.

Ideal wrinkle reduction is achieved by replenishing your skin's lost volume. Upon injection, RADIESSE immediately provides the volume and lift needed to diminish the signs of aging thanks to the calcium-based microspheres and gel that comprise the product. This cosmetic filler acts as a scaffold beneath the skin, providing structure and stimulating your own natural collagen to grow.

When it comes to anti-aging treatments, we tend to pour all of our energy into smoothing, tightening, and firming our faces. And while it’s true that our faces are the first thing people see, that doesn’t mean that they don’t also notice other parts of our bodies. One of the most tell-tale signs of aging is in the appearance of the hands. Prominent knuckles and tendons combined with large ropey veins can add 10 years to one’s appearance. To add to the problem, the hands are almost impossible to hide.  As we age, the hands lose the fatty layer of tissue located just under the skin.

This plumpness is what gives the hands a youthful supple appearance. As the skin thins and the fatty layer decreases, veins, tendons and knuckles become visually more pronounced. Northwest Aesthetics can help to restore youthful fullness to your hands in one treatment with no pain or downtime.

The standard of care for hand fillers is Radiesse, the only cosmetic filler that has been approved by the FDA for use in the hands. The Radiesse hand lift is a new procedure that restores volume to the hands with instant results. The injection immediately re-plump and replenish volume to the back of the hands to provide a supple and youthful appearance instantly. Placed beneath the skin, the filler raises the skin level so that tendons, joints and veins lose their prominence. The results are instant and durable long lasting results.

During your consultation, our medical director, Olga Voloshina will perform a thorough examination of your skin to determine which filler is best suited to meet your concerns as well as the amount of filler to use, proper injection sites, and the healthiest wrinkle filler regimen for your desired results. • To minimize the chance of any bruising, please avoid Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and any other blood-thinning medications for up to a week before your injections.
  • Let us know if you are on therapy used to decrease the body’s immune response (immunosuppressive therapy). Use may result in an increased risk of infection.
  • Minimize strenuous exercise and exposure to extensive sun or heat within the first 24 hours following treatment.

The formulas now used for most fillers include a local anesthetic that helps minimize the discomfort patients may feel during the injections. Of course, some patients are more sensitive than others and may experience more discomfort. Most describe the feeling as a minor discomfort, like getting a shot.

Dermal fillers are very safe and effective, but there are some common side effects. These are mostly minor and diminish in a couple of days. Swelling and bruising may occur after filler injections. Infection is a more serious complication but rarely occurs.

Radiesse treatments are available at Northwest Aesthetics Bellevue and Kent, WA locations.
